NYPD Cop 1: "No tripods allowed in Manhattan for security reasons"
NYPD Cop 2: "No tripods allowed, you need too much space on the sidewalk"
NYPD Cop 3: "the buildings are copyrighted"
NYPD Cop 4: "tripods are a professional equipment, if you work here, you have to have a working permit and pay taxes"
NYPD Cop 5:"the owners of the buildings don´t want that their property is photographed"
Photographer from Germany:"I paid 100 Dollar fine"

Alternatives when police is watching you (they have binoculars): put the camera on the floor or use a Gorillapod.

Hi,great design in this image.Are those wind blown flags on the posts?However I find your notes equally good.I got kicked out of an interesting bank foyer once in the Midwest.Regards Wolf.

tja...du hast das Problem von Tripod sehr clever geloest...und dadurch hast du eine sehr angenehme vertikale Komposition geschafft, die die Groesse von dieser Stadt gut darstellt

Hallo Christian,
trotz der Schwierigkeiten mit den Cops ist dir letzendlich doch noch ein tolles Bild gelungen und deine Ausdauer hat sich bezahlt gemacht. Die Perspektive ist einfach klasse mit den hoch aufragenden Gebäuden unter dem "bewegten" Nachthimmel. Der Effekt mit den vorbeiziehenden Wolken ist sagenhaft. Wie lange hast du den hier belichtet?

Hi Christian,
They sound very strict over there, but you still managed to get a nice shot. I like the convergence of the buildings from your wide angle and the movement of the flags and clouds(?) is great.

Cela devient n'importe quoi, on ne pourra bientôt plus que photographier sa famille et son chat sans payer! Malgré ces affreux garde-chiourmes, tu as réussi à prendre (faut-il dire voler?) une très intéressante photographie, très originale.

Hallo Christian,
toller Blickwinkel, und ich freue mich, dass Du den Amis entkommen bist - fotografieren scheint dort ja langsam gefährlich zu werden...
Die verwischten Wolken und Fahnen bringen viel Dynamik ins Bild, und wie hoch die Häuser wirklich sind, lässt sich sowieso nur erahnen.
