Photographer’s Note

20th anniversary of the collapse of the Berlin Wall.

On the longest section of the Berlin Wall still standing the so called East Side Gallery shows a series of graffiti which were reforbished last summer by the artists. I know, as photo it's banal but I think it's quite symbolic...

But with all the celebrations another much sadder anniversary in German history should not be forgotten: the Reichsprogromnacht on November 9th 1938.

IT`S very symbolic!!!!!!wenn es mit einem Trabi doch so einfach gewesen waäre....

nette Wandmalerei mit dem perfekten Motiv für das heutige Jubiläum. Das Bild gefällt mir wirklich sehr gut, aber ich hätte vielleicht eher ein quadratisches Bildformat gewählt.

Grande Günther! Che intelligentissima foto! All'epoca io ero a New York, con mio marito e abbiamo seguito la faccenda del muro in TV. Con grande emozione. La madre di Dominic, mio marito, era di Dresda, capirai...

ach, die Trabis... kurz nach der Wende habe ich in Rom fuer den ADAC gearbeitet, da riefen uns entgeisterte Mechaniker aus Sueditalien an - "c'e' qui un tedesco con una macchina di plastica che si vuole riparare l'auto da solo!! che facciamo???"
das waren Zeiten :)

Yes, it's a very symbolic view of the events of 20 years ago.
It is also important that Kristallnacht should not be be forgotten. Nie wieder!
