Photographer’s Note

Three Dog Night is an American rock band best known for their music from 1968—1975. They are still making live appearances and recordings as of 2009.

An official commentary included in the CD set Celebrate: The Three Dog Night Story, 1965-1975 states that vocalist Danny Hutton’s then-girlfriend June Fairchild thought of the name when she read a magazine article about indigenous Australians, in which it was explained that on cold nights they would customarily sleep in a hole in the ground while embracing a dingo, a native species of wild dog. On colder nights they would sleep with two dogs, and if a night was especially cold, it was a "Three Dog Night".

Hi Tom!
Good composition with the three dogs and the curves of these ropes.I like too the nice autumncolors and the mountains in the far distance give a great depth to the image.

Very interesting note about a Three Dog Night, it makes sense to do so. This countryside looks very peaceful, not many people must live there. Very bold, but dynamic contrasts and autumn colors, in particular between the green hues and the deep blue sky. Fine DOF and sharpness to. Well done

Oh I am the same vintage. How I remember those words. I know you have two dogs so who does the third one belong to? There is a good visual triangle between the dogs and the shot is nicely exposed.

An image full of life with the three dogs. A nice image too with the beautiful warm autumn's colrs well colected, a good use of the barrier of the right for give prospect effect and a great depht.

A pleasing landscape composition with the three dogs all nicely positioned to provide additional points of interest. The lovely blue sky makes a fine contrast with the beautiful autumn colours below. Very good sharpness.
