Photographer’s Note
The Biosphere was orginally built as one of the pavillions of the World Fair in 1967, this was the American pavillion. These kind of spherical shaped domes are known as geodesic domes.
A geodesic dome is a type of structure shaped like a piece of a sphere or a ball. This structure is comprised of a complex network of triangles that form a roughly spherical surface. The more complex the network of triangles, the more closely the dome approximates the shape of a true sphere.
This dome has now become the Biosphere which is a museum decicated to water and the enviroment.

Salut Wanda,
I'm sure this low res doesn't pay justice to the original, as the white clouds are resisting not too vanish in the compression of the small file and the trees are too dark.
So I'm sure you have every details you need, as I can see the the pixels are on. But all tones are mostly at the end of the bracket, whether very whitish or blackish. In other words, you don't have a rich array of tones and the only spots of grey are through the clouds.
That's the problem when shooting almost against the sun, as the result is mostly silhouetted... Now, it's not a scene that gain from being treated in silhouette, unless you wanted to show the delicacy of the structure, but then, the dome wouldn't be big enough in the frame.
Your composition is flawless with the low line from the top of the trees, the off-centred sphere and the large space for the clouded sky. If only I knew, I would have bring you on the other side so you could have the sun on the right side, in your back.
If you want, we'll go back there in December and you'll get the proper light this time... :-P)
I shouldn't be too critical on you Wanda, as you finally have posted a shot from Mtl... :-P) I just wish I have one from JHB... LOLL!
André
