Photographer’s Note
A view from the top deck of the passenger ferry crossing, between Vancouver and Sidney, on eastern Vancouver Island. I liked the wisps of mist & subtle reflections.
"The Strait of Georgia or the Georgia Strait[1] (also known as the Gulf of Georgia), is a strait between Vancouver Island (as well as its nearby Gulf Islands) and the mainland Pacific coast of British Columbia, Canada. It is approximately 240 kilometres (150 mi) long and varies in width from 18.5 to 55 km (11.5 to 34 mi).[1] Archipelagos and narrow channels mark each end of the Strait of Georgia, the Gulf Islands and San Juan Islands in the south, and the Discovery Islands in the north. The main channels to the south are Haro Strait and Rosario Strait, which connect the Strait of Georgia to the Strait of Juan de Fuca. In the north, Discovery Passage is the main channel connecting the Strait of Georgia to Johnstone Strait."

Hello Chris,
A nicely balanced composition with good colours and clarity. The mist rising from the forest creates a particular mood and draws the attention away from the rather drab sky.

Bonjour Chris
Un joli paysage avec des couleurs bien saturées et la brume qui semble s'accrocher aux sapins.
Merci pour le partage et bonne journée.

Hi Chris,
Beautiful landscape. This place is not well known here in TE and never saw something about this Strait on TV.
Excellent capture, good sense of depth, amazing colors, beautiful light and great sharpness.

Hi Chris,
I like the contrast betwwen the trees and the cliff. the reflections in the water are assets to the composition. The point of view takes my eye toward the mountain which is giving depth to the photo. The cloudy sky is giving a good contrast to the colors. Have a nice day.

Hi Chris: this is such a beautiful view. So refreshing with the still water and traces of fog on the foliage. Fine details and very good framing. Best regards. Jusni
