My seventh portrait is the famous turkish poet and writer Attila İlhan (1925-2005). I portraid him in the famous Cafe of Divan Hotel in the year 1999 when I was managing the hotel. Every day early in the morning he came to the cafe of the pastry shop in the basement of the hotel and took his place in the corner. Even if he was not there, everyone knew that it was İlhan's seat and avoided to sit there. In those years I also put a brass plate to the wall with his name on the wall at his "beloved" corner. Exactly like a well known habit in the famous french cafe "La closerie des lilas" (1867)in Paris.

Galerimdeki yedinci portre ünlü Türk şair ve yazarı Attila İlhan'a (1925-2005) ait. Onun portresini, Divan da genel müdürlük yaptığım günlerde 1999 yılında çekmiştim. Her sabah erkenden otelin giriş katındaki pastaneye gelir, köşedeki -hiç değişmeyen- masasına otururdu. Orda olmadığı zamanlarda bile, o köşenin Attila İhan'a ait olduğunu bilen müşteriler, onun koltuğuna oturmazlardı.
O senelerde oturduğu köşenin duvarına üzerinde "Attila İlhan" yazılı prinç bir plaka çaktırmıştım, o da bundan çok memnun olmuştu.
Aynen Paristeki ünlü sanatçı cafesi "La closerie des lilas" da olduğu gibi.
Bu kareyi de siyah beyaz bir baskıdan taradım.
