Photographer’s Note
There is a man who works in Vallhalla Pure in Abbotsford who gave me the suggestion to check out Grassy Flats in Canmore Alberta. He said it was a must see and I was glad I made the hike up to this lake. Its tucked in just below one of the Three Sisters and its only an hour hike from the trail head.
I have not seen a lake with these amazing blue green colors anywhere in my life and this lake really captivated my attention. Below the surface a huge underwater boulder and across on the other side a pathway to circle around to the second lake. Both are a must see if you enjoy the outdoors and hiking in the Rockies. Enjoy.

Hello Paul,
Fantastic area for hiking.
The different green tones are so wonderful, in the lake and in the forest.
At the end of the day you probably see everything in green :)
Best regards, Paul

Hi Paul
Amazing colour. The reflections from the trees and the algae make for an interesting criss cross pattern. How deep would this lake be? It is so clear it is hard to tell.

Hi Paul,
This is awesome - unbelievable greens and deep rich blues in this one - and the water is so crystal clear. Looks like a worthwhile hike to this one, glad you did it and shared this image.

Hi Paul,
what a great place! There is another wonderful photo here taken by rhodinia that shows the real dimension of the lake and that was a surprise for me that it is so small. The incredibly beautiful colors are another surprise. Excellent photo work! TFS!
Warm regards
Harriet
