Photographer’s Note
This is a picture of the Machu Picchu ruins from the sun gate. This was taken on the 4th day of a hike on the Inka Trail. You can see on the left the trail leading to the ruins. At this point, we were at about 2500 meters (8,000 ft) in altitude. It was early morning as you can see the sun's rays of light on the right.
