Photographers Note
Chinese Terra Cotta Army in my city.
Honor for my city!
The Terra Cotta Army - "soldier and horse funerary statues") are the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses of Qin Shi Huang the First Emperor of China. The terracotta figures, dating from 150 AD, were discovered in 1974 by some local farmers near Xi'an, Shaanxi province, China near the Mausouleum of the second Ming Emperor. Qín Shǐhuáng Líng). The figures vary in height (183–195 cm, according to their role, the tallest being the generals. The figures include strong warriors, chariots, horses, officials, acrobats, strongmen, and musicians. Current estimates are that in the three pits containing the Terracotta Army there were over 2,000 soldiers, 100 chariots with 400 horses and 300 cavalry horses, the majority of which are still buried in the pits.

Hello Krzysztof,
They seem a long way from home these terracotta soldiers :-) A good tight composition with excellent tones and textures. You have captured them well.

Hi Kryzsztof,
nice to see the cotta armi again. Now a different set. A brilliant one in artistic value. You have captured it with great depth and light. Nice colours. Dark background emphasised the detail of the army. Very well done.
Congrats.

Pozdrawiam

Hi Krzysztof,
Must be very interesting to see these well known statues without having to travel all the way to China! You have certainly taken a very good photo here with clear and vivid colours. A different contribution, but very much in the TE spirit!
Kind regards
Gunnar

Witaj Krzysztof,
Magnificent capture of the soldiers in terracotta against a dark background. The light is excellent, highlighting the details - each one is different. Great POV giving a good sense of depth.
Have a nice week

W trójmieście ta wystawa była do obejrzenia kilka razy, ale jakoś się nie pofatygowałem... szkoda.
Bardzo podoba mi się sposób w jaki pokazałeś ułamek tego , co można tam zobaczyć.
Marek.

Czesc Krzysiek,
no to napewno musi byc ciekawa wystawa,
raczej nietypowy portret w Polsce,
ciekawe jest pochodzenie tej armii,
dzieki za lekcje historii.
pozdrawiam

Hi Krzysztof.
A great shot from your city. These are nice and typical Chinese statues which has a rich history. This is a picture which needs a note, and I think the note is good. TFS.
