This Finnish woman, early in the morning, is going to make her shopping for the village.
She printed as every day her very practical "supermarket trolley-skis" not to fall on the black ice and the snow.

Salut Daniel! A wonderful scene of an obviously daily routine tour for this lady on her way to go shopping. Smart choice, I mean who wants to fall on icy roads. This way it keeps her outside, breathing some fresh air and she walks instead of sitting inside. Great moment, I really like your photo showing how other people get around. Very nice. Hello Daniel, a great shot here, what can we say more, people adapt to the environment the lady probably needed such a thing, it's easier to use and it can be both a sledge and a trolley.

What a lovely shot! First, of course, the composition is perfect and the play of shadows and light on the snow is great, but what I find most interesting is the subject you have chosen to show us. As Barbara says, this is an excellent way for the lady to stay fit and to interact with her local community at the supermarket to which she walks every day.

Un image qui nous colle sous le nez la rudesse des conditions climatiques et la diversité des expériences des populations. Je ne m'imagine pas le calvaire que ce serait pour moi, alors que cette femme avance en souriant. Un joli jeu de formes douces entre ombre et lumière. Les couleurs sont belles et la composition fait mouche. Bravo.

Hi Daniel,
Very nice shot of this woman on a traditional Finnish kicksledge. It's actually quite handy and even fast way to move around in winter, especially in countryside where paths are not sanded or salted. Well working sidelight making shadow patterns on snow.
