Photographer’s Note

The splendid village of Saint-Léry (located in the department of Morbihan), which has a population of 170 inhabitants, has a small architectural jewel, its church.

Many elements of this building are registered with the Historic buildings.

The clock of the church is rather out-of-common and single in its kind !!! Indeed, it is actuated by an imposing mechanism of origin and does not have a dial. It sounds every hour then the half hours and mark time without one being able to see them.

At his entry one finds five statues remarkable representing St Elocan (first known hermit of the place), St Judicaël, St Léry, the Duchess Anne of Brittany (bienfaitrice of the place, it made gift of the stained glass of the chorus in 1493) and Winegriall (a priest).

Then, if one day you travel in the country of Brocéliande, do not hesitate, and come to see this church and its village which knew to keep its picturesque side and an alleviating quietude.

In complementary photographs the five statues which are visibles with the entry and another showing a general sight into monochromic of the church.

Very good Sunday with all… and I hope sunnier for you !!!
