Excellent composition, I like the mixt between the playing children nad the "very nice "trompe l'oeil". An iamge full of life and a great prospect open on the right with the depht "trompe l'oeil".

What a very nice little town these kids seem to be living in. This scene reminds me of something I've seen somewhere else. The title is also well chosen.
The children are well captured in action, each one in a different pose, and there is a nice mix of colours.

A pleasing daily life image full of animation. These children seem to be enjoying themselves in their play and the trompe l'oeil backdrop is perfect. Very good colours and excellent sharpness.

Hello Gunnar,

This is a fine photographic artist's grouping of the children, against another artist's very realistic trompe l'oeil background.

Your signature red element of the boy on the bike, is placed exactly on an intersection of thirds.

This forms a strong anchor point - being the first thing ones eye is drawn to in the picture.

The window in the painted background lies on the diagonally opposite thirds intersection, which reinforces the effect on the composition.

The interplay of the different directions of the children's gazes is well captured, and introduces dynamism into the picture. The positioning of the painted background figure in the archway between two of the boys, is a good touch too.

To be technical:

This is a very fine photograph, but looking at the histogram [which appears in "levels" in PhotoShop] there is a slight deficit at the right hand [white] end of the curve, showing that the brightest available pixels in the image are not being fully exploited.

As well as showing the thirds grid in the WS, I've applied Auto levels to correct the histogram, which I think gives the picture a bit more impact.

Curiously, when I first saw it I thought the children were cutouts placed in front of a painted backcloth - an effect of your sharpening perhaps?
