Photographer’s Note
I was out this morning to get some market photos when I heard on the radio that there is a high surf advisory for the whole California coast. So I headed over to Fort Point to see what I could catch - it's a classic location for surf, with the Golden Gate Bridge behind it.
This shot is actually a case of photographer's reflex: I had taken a whole bunch of shots and was just relaxing and thinking about heading home when this spray leaped up at me. Without thinking, I swung the camera up and caught it. And no, none of the spray hit the lens.)
Technical: Set WB to Daylight, raise Contrast, Black, Brightness and Clarity. In CS3, Levels.

Do not keep wondering Dan - I'd seen this mighty bridge , in 1978 , while traveling thr USA , and it looks much more impresive without the spray...
sincerely , Ike.

Hello Daniël,
Not usual of you this type of photographs, but perhaps have to this can on TE.
I see your picture as a modern painting.
Good captured and composed, nice colours too.
Well done, TFS.
Very nice sunday,
John.

Hello Dan -
This is a different view of this well known icon. I am looking at this on my laptop and it is not being rendered as I remember seeing it yesterday. This could account for the lack of comments on TE. The spray seems to be blocked up, I am wondering if TE has something to do with this or maybe it is how you are converting for the web. I learned in my seminar today that Adobe color space needs to be converted to sRGB to render correctly on the web. I don't generally convert and maybe that explains why I get some comments about blocked shadows and a lack of vividness to some of my images. Just a thought. Anyway, as I said yesterday it was a nice image and a really different view. Well done!
Thank you for sharing.
John

Hello Dan
From the thumbnail it was a little difficult to see exactly what this photo was of? A familiar icon caught in a different situation. I guess I just really like to see familiar subjects photographed in a different way and you did really well with this attempt - good job. Tfs, Marlene
