Photographer’s Note

Vineyards of Sagrantino. From vitigno the Sagrantino, cultivated for a long time immemorabile in hills of Montefalco, two great wines are obtained, the Montefalco dry Sagrantino and the Montefalco Sagrantino raisin wine. The dry one is a wine of great body produced with grapes Sagrantino to 100 %, of red color granato with violacee airframes, of full aroma, sapore dry ground and harmonic and bouque that it remembers the aroma of more of rovo, has obtained the D.O.C. in 1979 and the D.O.C.G. from 1992. It has a minimal alcool of 13° and a great wealth of polifenoli and tannins, demands along period of sharpening, before in wood and then in bottle. It is accompanied perfectly with roast of red meats and game. The raisin wine, traditional wine of Montefalco, is obtained through the collection of grapes in state of advancing maturation, subsequently withered for approximately two months. After this phase the vinificazione process begins. The produced wine therefore has a color tending to granato and a sweetish and hard gust (the alcool is not never inferior to 14,3°). Servants like wine from fine meal or outside meal. From vitigno the Sagrantino the optimal one is gained also, if less valuable, red than Montefalco, also composed exactly from Sagrantino 15%, Sangiovese 65%, Merlot 20%, wine that accompanies with all the peasant plates of the tradition peasant well, from the meats and to cheeses it ages to you and piccanti. Of red color they steal tending to granato, has a dry, harmonic taste, vellutato.

eh sì per una campagna pubblicitaria non ci potrebbe essere immagine migliore! I colori e la luce sono favolosi, poi la grande profondità e la nitidezza completano questa stupenda foto. Ora mi verebbe anche voglia di provare il vino...

A great mood to this lovely autumn landscape. I like very much the muted tones which stand out like burnt gold under the pale sky. The road going straight as a die up the hill brings in a graphical element and creates a feeling of depth. Thanks for sharing.

in questa foto molto bella il cielo forse paga il prezzo delle stupende luci sui campi, Il paesaggio somiglia moto a quello della Sabina, sarà per i cerri, o per i colori della campagna, comunque il tutto è dolcissimo e stupendo. Sei molto fortunato a ritrovarti questi posti sull'uscio di casa. Ciao!

Non c'è bisogno dell'indicazione del luogo. So benissimo da dove hai scattato questa meraviglia. Una fantastica collina dai capelli rossi! Mia sa che Giorgio dovrà interevenire con una delle sue clamorose raccomandazioni se vogliamo trovare questa luce e questi colori il 22.

Hi Silvio
you cannot resist to take the red vineyards and the yellow trees lightd by a low sun: colours of the autumn. I like your POV with the road going from right to left, then to center, and then to far away left. I would have cropped the sky in order to have only a small part of it above the mountain at the back

The afternoon shadows are already long across the vineyard!
The colours are richer this time of day and the touch of autumn is present all over the scene...
The slightly elevated point of view works well, and the composition is very pleasing to my eyes!

Che splendida campagna autunnale, colori formidabili, bisogna che ci faccia una scappata presto...Molto ben realizzata la composizione con la strada in basso e l'esaltazione dei colori, avrei diminuito un pelo le luci alte...ma il tutto viene compensato dall'ottima descrizione dei vini!!!

Avrei mantenuto nella foto anche la curva a sx, ma va bene lo stesso, paesaggio da sogno, complimenti Silvio, speriamo che resistano fino all'arrivo dell'orda fotografante...
