Photographer’s Note
We took a quick visit to Dead Horse Point State Park while on the way to Canyonlands and a storm had just passed through. The air was so charged from the lightning that the hair on people's head was standing up. Of course being one of those people whose hair had disappeared some years ago I couldn't understand what all the fuss was about.
This canyon was carved out by the Colorado River much like the Grand Canyon providing many photographic opportunities.

Hi Phil,
Another striking shot of the Utah desert canyons.
Love rich textures of the stradified rock, subtle colorsand great depth.
Your note made me chuckle.

Hi Phil,
I really enjoyed a visit here as well a couple of years ago - a very cold and extremely windy day it was! Nice light on this one and the depth and clarity is superb. TFS. Gerald

Hi Phil
Good lighting captured down the center of this frame giving this photo a strong focus. Great DOF. Wonderfully composed.
See you,

Hello Phil!
Unearthy place, outstanding landscape photography! Simple but excellent composition, perfect light management, blinding "rusty" colours and great definition!

Morning Phil
First off, i have to say your photographers note made me laugh, very funny indeed!
As for the photo, i agree with Gerald in that the depth is excellent, even with the storm-cloud darkness created.
The strata lines are very easily seen, so a job well done.
I also like the progression of colour...the desert sand has less and less rust colour as you look at the photo from bottom to top.
Very well done
Regards
Craig
