Photographer’s Note
Taken at the Boyce Thompson Arboretum State Park, about an hour's drive east of Phoenix on US 60.
This park has several nicely-laid-out trails. The main trail is a mile and a half and winds first through the usual desert xeriscape, then down into a valley where there are a couple of babbling brooks, fruit-bearing trees and, at this time of the year, some nice autumn colors.
ISO200. Boosted colors a little, a little USM as well. Shadows reduced slightly. Cropped to get rid of the overexposed sky. *8-)
