Shot at Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado. I had originally headed to Kebler Pass to shoot some fall color but a windstorm a few days earlier had taken down most of the leaves. I decided to trek over to the dunes for some early morning shots. A perfectly clear morning illuminated the dunes with the soft yellow/blue light of dawn. There were actually a lot more footprints than I was expecting and I didn't have as much time as I would have like to hike deep into the dunefield. I found this scrub in a pristine area on the slope of a dune and for some reason the shape really caught my eye. Canon 5D @ 17mm with a 2-stop NDG at the top. Thanks for viewing.
