Photographer’s Note
Islamic motifs are mainly geometric and mathematical. In Arabic countries a distinctive decorative style called zillij uses purpose-made ceramic shapes that are further worked by hand to allow them to fit together perfectly to cover a surface.
The practice of zillij dates back to the 11th century. The lines of Moroccan geometry are straight as opposed to the curved lines used in Middle Eastern art traditions.

The symmetry is striking and the graphism excellent. I also like the B&W conversion. Well done.

Hello Wanda,
A typical shot and subject for B&W with a good contrast underlining the graphism of the star.
A well appropriated centered composition.
