Photographer’s Note
St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church
Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America
Atlantic City, New Jersey
USA
Greeks came to the area in the late 1800s and for many years gathered at a coffee house. After World War I the need for a church was keenly felt and a charter issued in 1924. Meeting first in rented space, then a house, the house was torn down to build a church on the site. Additional land was purchased and a new church was built in 1997.
