Photographer’s Note

The Australian Pelican is the largest species of Pelican standing up to 1.8m with a wingspan of 3.4m. They can live up to 25 years.

This one was found at Ricketts point, with Alfred (alftrek) and Santo (skippy007). (There is a superficial resemblance between a pelican and a penquin, but I know it is not a penquin as they can't fly, and this bird can)

Ricketts Point is a marine sanctuary on Port Philip bay in the south east surburbs of Melbourne. The sandstone rock extends from the shore and supports a wide variety of flora and fauna.
