Beautiful wolf-shaped Peyto Lake at 7h30 am.

Even if you arrive earlier, the sun is hidden behind the opposite mountain and all the area is in shadow before 7h00 o'clock - in spring time.

Hi Andre, yes a magical moment reminiscent of a Disney movie and of Jack London's White Fang. Also nice to see details of those slightly dipping rock formations contrasting to the smooth texture of the lake. TFS, Alex

Quel paysage !! Je me régalerais de poser mon trépied dans ce genre d'endroit. Le lac est absolument incroyable. Ces eaux turquoises sont impressionnantes dans cet écrin de sapins foncés. J'aime beaucoup ce genre d'endroit. Une très belle image qui donne envie de voyager.

A beautiful shot of Peyto Lake! You had to be an early bird that day, but it paid off!

Bonjour André,

La vue est classique mais toujours aussi belle. La couleur de ce lac est exceptionnelle et les montagnes s'y reflètent comme dans un miroir.
La couche de nuage accrochée sur les sommets donne du charme à la photo.

Anecdote pour anecdote!
sais-tu ce qu'on m'a raconté quand j'étais à peyto ?
Il parait que les techniciens d'Eastman Kodak à Buffalo avaient envoyé à Peyto qqes photographes pour tester un nouveau film. Au vu des résultats, cette nouvelle pellicule pas encore commercialisée, a bien failli être recalée, tellement ces techniciens ne croyaient pas leurs yeux de voir les couleurs de ce lac! Il a fallu toute la persuasion des photographes qui étaient sur le terrain pour les convaincre et que le nouveau film soit mis sur le marché

Superbe cadrage, André, qui nous montre bien la tête de loup. Mais, même sans ça, qui est vraiment la cerise sur le gâteau, le paysage est specataculaire et les couleurs accrochent immédiatement l'attention. Le bleu de l'eau est inouï ( mais je peux bien croire que c'est réel après avoir vu le fameux lac de Moiry cher à maximage). J'aime bien les textures aussi!

Hello André,
Hey, this looks familiar ;-), although I see that you got it without ice still on the water like when we were there together and the water looks much more turquoise or aqua ;-) instead of deep blue. Wonderful colour, and I love the clouds just covering the tops of the peaks, and the dappled light creating sections of light and shadow over the landscape is lovely and adds nice dimension.

Olá André, this is a breathtaking scenery. Everytime I see a photo from here I can hardly believe the color of that water and here it is again. I've nothing useful to say here. Technically it's behond what I could have done. It's a gorgeous view and it's a pleasure to look at it. Good that you got those clouds and their shadows spread around.

The color of that lake is just wonderful and the whole place is magnificent with the shapes of those mountains and all the vegetation around!
Your photo is excellent - pretty classical!
Sharpness, exposure, dof, pov, colors and composition are very good! I really hope I can visit it some day!

J'adore trop cette couleur turquoise et bien sûr les arbres dessinés parfaitement autour. Avec des conditions difficiles, tu as réussi à sortir la meilleure de la lumière.
