GR20 J7 - Col de San Petru (1430m) Photo

Photographer’s Note

Rencontre de 3 mondes sur les crêtes de ce perpétuellement venteux col de Saint Pierre, avec le GR20 qui remonte vers cet autel dédié au Saint en question, à la croisée du chemin des crêtes emprunté ici par une véritable chenille humaine de militaires en exercice. Dire qu'on a l'impression de traîner notre maison sur le dos, eux ils ont la mitraillette et les munitions en plus... Bon par contre ils sont équippés en bouffe lyophilisée super-légère, et c'est paraît-il un excellent entraînement pour enseigner ce que ça veut VRAIMENT dire sur le terrain un simple dénivellé de 100m, c'est l'art de lire les cartes et tout un entraînement physique. Dire qu'ils sont payés pour faire ça les chanceux! (OK, j'avoue qu'eux ils ont pas le temps de faire du tourisme ;)

Meeting of 3 worlds on the ridge of this constantly windy Saint Peter's Pass, the crossing of the GR20 coming up to this shrine to St-Peter and climbing on the ridge trails where we met this human caterpillar of military exercise. We had the feeling of carying our house on our backs, but these guys carry a riffle and amno on top of it... Well on the other hand they carry superlight freeze-dried food and it is apparently an excelent exercise to demonstrate what a 100m denivelation REALLY means on the ground, it's the art of map-reading as well as quite a physical training. And those guys are paid to have this much fun! (OK, I admit, they have no time for tourism ;)

OUF, pas certain que je serais assez en forme pour gravir une telle montagne avec une telle charge sur les épaules meia j'aimerais bien essayer car, comme le montre si bien ton cliché, c'est de toute beauté.

Bonjour Bruno,

Sur le coup, j'ai cru qu'il s'agissait d'un troupeau de mouflons ;0) Le choix du format vertical est judicieux, je vois très bien d'où tu as pris cette photo car la montée se poursuit au-dessus du petit oratoire, permettant d'apercevoir en contrebas les randonneurs en plein effort ! Les conditions météo sont excellentes... Angle de vue original, photo très nette, bravo !

Salut Bruno,
C'est étonnant comme l'image est "plein" (je ne trouve pas un autre mot, ni même en portugais). Et cela ne vient pas d'une focale très longue, je suppose qu'il est l'inclination de la montagne et le cadrage qui rendent cet impacte visuel si fort. C'est intéressant comme la ligne imaginaire qui vient des trekeurs civiles et suivent les militaires fait l'image aussi dynamique.

I was just thinking wow there are so many tourist or the people here really love hiking and they all wear the same outfit. It make sense that they are military. It is great to catch such a unique moment. Once again a very beuatiful shot, I see you do love you backcountry hiking and nature. That is wonderful hobby in my opinion and so healthy and in touch with nature. That what I like about this site too, even when I'm not out hiking I can see it through other nature lover's photo. Another beautiful shot. I'm off in two days to the windy Patagonia.

Intéressante image avec ces chenilles processionaires humaines, ceci permet d'évaluer les difficultés de ce sentier particulier.
Juste un petit conseil
Essaye de fermer un peu plus ton diaph.
En zoomant à 50 mm la limite du bougé est à 1/50 s, à f/11 cela te donnera une meilleure PDC.
