Photographer’s Note

Wild geese are very vigilant, but have no fear of humans. They feel instinctively when they are in danger. I photographed the scene, although the lighting was not ideal for taking photographs.

treffender kann man das Herbstgefühl nichtz in ein Bild packen, meine bescheidene Meinung zu dieser sehr schönen Aufnahme..

Guten Tag Wolfgang!
Offenbar machen die hier Zwischenstation auf dem Weg in den Süden...
Eine sehenswerte Szene, die zusätzlich noch den besonderen Charakter des Herbstes zeigt. Wieder ein Beweis, dass es auch ohne Sonnenschein gelingt, tolle Fotos zu machen. Das Gefühl von herbstlicher Kühle und Feuchtigkeit "kommt gut rüber"!

A pleasing composition of these wild geese pecking about in the grass for something to eat. I like the soft light and tones and the contrasting yellow and green tones.

They are Canadians aren't they? Probably just arrived from spending the summer up North...
Seems like they are very busy eating something, can't really think of what that may be but when they pass here grain is the favourite!
A lovely scene in this fine autumnal setting!

auch wenn Deiner Meinung nach das Licht nicht optimal war, so ist das Ergebnis doch sehr sehenswert. Du hast eine wunderbare herbstliche Situation eingefangen mit diesem schönen Baum und den wilden Gänsen. Licht und Farben sind sehr angemessen und kreieren eine sehr melancholische Stimmung. Kompliment!

You've been lucky to take such a shot, peaceful atmosphere, calm autumnal landscape, when I see so many birds in one place I always sit somewhere nearby just to think.... how would it be if I were....?

fast wären wir am Wochenende am gleichen Ort gewesen, auch ich habe Gänse bei uns in einem Naturschutzreservat aufgenommen. Mittlerweile überwintern sie bei uns. Sehr schöne Herbststimmung unter diesen Bäumen

Hi Wolf. The textures here are as lovely as the colours, soft autumnal and speckled. It looks a bit like an impressionist painting (Surat perhaps). These are the pestilential Canada Geese, I think, that are destroying so much of European wild life since their arrival. I think they are scared of nothing. I am told they are no good to eat, anyway. I initially thought you had taken this photo here in Canada, we see this alot with our Canadian Geese. They are large birds which love to mulch on grass such as this.
You have 3 distinct layers and colours of leaves, intermixed with green grass.

Ahh… Here is an assembly as astonishing as that I saw on the photograph of our friend Carlos, but at one different time. Much serenity in the attitude of these geese and the colors autumnal adds much poetry to the atmosphere of the photograph. Well done Wolfgang.

Ein sehr gefälliges Bild, eine wunderbare Naturszene. Obwohl das Licht nicht ideal war, hast Du das Beste daraus gemacht. Sehr schöner Bildaufbau. Ich zeige meine Bilder eher auf TN(auch dieses wäre ein ideales Bild für TN)
