Photographer’s Note

- Lake of Settons - Dam - Is built entirely from blocks of granite, is an imposing building which measures 267 meters by 20 high and 20 to its base, built on the principle of "dams of force" as a pyramid, it stands as the weight he carries on himself. It is the largest built at that time in Western Europe. The keeper's house, that appears at the bottom has been constructed along the dam, it was used to house the engineers: an historic monument in 1944. At the center of the dam throne room machinery is used to operate the valves that allow the bottom water flow.

una bellissima foto con una perfetta inquadratura con la zona di sinistra a bilanciare bene la scena.
Ottimo il contrasto tra luci e ombre.

Bonjour Giorgio,

Un Point de vue bien choisi pour présenter ce lac avec la passerelle incurvée sur la gauche qui guide notre regard. Une belle profondeur de champs, des contrastes forts et des détails variés très bien captés, un beau ciel agrémenté de nuages... une très belle image.

Bonjour Giorgio.
C'est un beau paysage qui fait penser à quelques toiles Impressionnistes. J'aime la lumière qui détache les détails comme ceux des vannes à gauche. Le ciel et les reflets sont superbes.

very nice and picturesque the view of the lake of Settons that operated as a dam.I like the excellent presentation and especially the curve of the dam that creates depth,as lead the eye to the opposite bank of the lake.he colours and the light are well managed.

nice dam. The water is so clean and nicely coloured. Nice sky. Inclusion of the way in foreground is beautiful. Nice framing with green leafs. Light is also perfect. Very well done.

Salut Giorgio,
L'autre jour j'ai écrit sur le close-up qui on voit à gauche, maintenant c'est bon de voir une panoramique aussi bien composée, avec le jetté et barrage invitant le regard à se promener au bord du lac entouré par la foret verte avec des signes de l'automne déjà proche.
