Photographer’s Note
This is the first weekend I have had to take off and try getting some Autumn pictures. So I get up Saturday morning and the weather is its usual cooperative self. Okay. SO I clean my sensor, hang around awhile and the sun came out! I pack up and head out to Lake Wateree because its the only place in the country I know to go. About halfway there, it completely clouds over. Arrrghhh!! I am tempted to turn back and give up, but decide to take some BAD weather pictures. So I go on out, take a bunch of shots and am getting ready to leave and the clouds disappear. YAY! The foliage is still struggling to reach its peak, but I did get a few nice shots. I liked this one. Hope you enjoy it.

Hey Shelly,
fantastic shot! I KNOW the feeling - the photographer's fate is to wait.... But it was worth it here and you got the light you were longing for! I could write a book about waiting..... ;-)
Hope all is well. Have a good week, my friend!

After reading your note I understood why in this photo there is a very fine and peculiar light: often when the sunshine finally gets through the clouds the light has a special quality. I like the natural scenery here, I'm fond of this "water" places with their serene atmosphere which your compisition reproduced very well. There is a good division between land and sky and the tree at the left make it appear like a stage. I like the warm colours too.
Warm greetings,

Hi Shelly
Nicely done. You included some of the grasses in the FG and the tree for some framing.

Hi Shelly,
Well, we didn't have that problem in Luxemburg saturday when we set out for the scheduled TE meeting. Sun from start to finish. Sunday we had rain from start to finish, so we sat down for a game of cards, no pictures.
This is a nice, well framed shot. The light is good and the sky is opening up. So, your patience was rewarded.
Have a nice day

Hello my dear Shelly
What is another super wonderful shot!
Perfect framework/composition and delight sleight light management are excellent as usual! The proportion of the sky is perfect area, that makes a comfortable feeling to your shot. Ripple on the lake is also good accent too. Very good atmosphere and mood. Anyway congratulation on your masterpiece!

Hi Shelly,
Sometimes the most dramatic sky will appear for a little while in an otherwise dull day.
Love the pastel sky here and the lovely autumn oak tree that makse such a nice lead in to this very eye pleasing image.

Hi Shelly
I guess it pays off to hang around doesn't it?
I'm glad you were able to wait until the grey clouds dissapeared.
lovely composition with the tree framing your scene for you.
I also like the low point of view, with the grass/shrubs in the foreground
Well done, and well deserved
have a great day
