non so di preciso su quale parte dell'Olanda stessimo volando, ricordo solo che eravamo a pochi minuti dall'atterraggio. come quasi tutte le foto scattate dall'aereo, mancava di contrasto - la cosa curiosa e' che aumentando il contrasto e giocando con le curve i graffi del finestrino si sono trasformati in una specie di perturbazione nuvolosa... mi piaceva questo effetto da perlustrazione aerea stile 2a guerra mondiale... come dire, un paesaggio mentale piu' che reale.

I don't know over which part of North Holland we were flying, I only remember that landing was only a few minutes away.
most of my aerial pictures are flat - the windows filter most of the light and the result is usually zero contrast. so I was playing with curves and levels to improve the contrast and I saw that the scratches on the windows were turning into some kind of rainy weather... so I left it like that. I liked the WWII aerial recognition effect the image had acquired...
a mental landscape, rather than a real one.

Simple, almost classic, but somehow breathtaking... It may be b&w choice rather than so familiar colors of such a view, it may be cloudy view behind the land, it may be the strong but gentle contrast between pieces of layers... And the title, yes the title, I really like it.

e cosi' hai risparmiato sul filtro.... l'uso del finestrino ha creato un effetto bellissimo hai ragione a dire che sembrano quelle foto aeree della seconda guerra mondiale.

Ottima cristina , questo paesaggio in BW è molto interessante , sembra un'immensa scacchiera contornata dai generatori eolici , i graffi del finestrino aggiungono molta atmosfera , complimenti.

I really like the contrast of the fields, the lines of windmills. I propose you a WS to have only the B&W fields, because the cloudy top is not in the mood of your pic.

proprio una gran bella foto, un titolo molto, molto interessante...e questo paesaggio che sembrerebbe, sì, la mente umana, con le sue forme precise (le certezze), i graffi sul terreno (i ricordi), il mare (tutto ciò che non è ben definito e potrebbe portarti ovunque...), le pale eoliche (l'energia, la vitalità), tutta quell'area bianca che sembra perturbata (le perturbazioni, appunto, l'inconscio), e le strade che collegano il tutto. Uno scatto ed una interpretazione di gran classe, complimenti!

Drammatica e un po' inquietante, anche per l'ordine delle cose.
Si pensavo anche io a quelle foto stile 2a guerra (le aree da bombardare) pensa un po', poi ho letto il testo che hai scritto...l'effetto 'fumogeno' generato dal cielo è mistico, consunto, un po' Orwell...

Oh this is quite surreal and makes me go back to it several time - full of visual intrigue and the post-processing add to its atmosphere, while there is this strong pattern contrasting with the natural textures around it
