Photographer’s Note
My 8th shot from the 'Phuket Vegetarian Festival''; this devotee or 'Ma Song' (meaning entranced horse) bears the burden of two Chinese decorative umbrellas pierced through each cheek. This Ma Song would have been pierced this morning at sunrise and would endure this all through the procession to the temple, all in an effort to bestow good fortune.
For more information on the Phuket Vegetarian Festival, please check my previous shots in the theme.
I hope you like the shot, more to come.

Hi Dan,
That's a radical way to get rid of that piece of Peking duck stuck between teeth...
I don't know for sure what kind of processing you have done, but I like the tone down effect where only orange colour seems to come out.
Effective composition with one of the umbrella serving as a nice background and the "action" is taking place in a far away "out-of-center" spot.
Damn Peking duck...

I really don't like this kinda of multilation, but besides that this portrait is wonderful. Great colors, sharp and good woth with the DOF.
The clothes and unbrella details are magical.

Andre
