Photos

Confucius temples in Taiwan are quite different from the other temples. They are quiet, with little or no burning incense, and they have a celebration only one time per year- on Confucius' birthday (Taiwanese also named this day Teacher's Day because Confucius was such a good teacher)
Anyway, the ceremony started at 6am (!) and normally nothing can get me out of bed at this time of day, but I was unable to find any photos of this anywhere on the internet, so my curiousity was sparked.
The ceremony was over an hour long, and well attended. It consisted of many little ceremonies to honor confucius. I was very surprised to see sacrificed animals at the temple- since all other temples in Taiwan (mostly buddhist) promote a vegetarian lifestyle.

I'm fairly new at photography, and especially photoshop, I just did some sharpening, canvas rotation, and burning. I'm not sure if the lens and camera will show up in the exif info, i used a D70 and 80-400VR lens -no tripod
