The road between Death Valley and Lee Vining is not the most interesting but in a back street of Lone Pine, I found this. Couldn't resist the colours.

i love the minimalist viewpoint taken here.
and your choice to crop the truck in half is very effective for the viewer, as it is far less distracting this way.
the colours contrast and compliment eachother very well.

Hi Nikki.
I guess you've right. The car and the house doesn't look so nice, but somehow it's a nice perspective. There is a nice contrast between two strong colours which really makes this picture worth a visit. Maybe not necessary to include the window, but still a nice shot. TFS.

Excellent capture of colours, in a great and considered composition. I would never want a new car/house if I had these, unless maybe under a dark and gloomy sky. Bright colours, life! Great shot!

I can see why this shot was irresistible, it has lovely visual appeal.
Very good composition, you've shown enough but left us wanting to see more.
The colours are vivid and contrast well.

Hi Nikki.
You have a great eye for colour combinations and the juxtaposition of shapes and textures. The crop and composition are just right - no need to see more of the vehicle, and the window is a good balance. Nicely done.

Hello Nikki,
California highways can be a very lonesome highway, it’s long and goes on forever and sometimes the road just go through places that is so uninteresting, and some very strange small town of just junk cars in the yards and brown dusty hills and everything looks death, and sometimes, you come across something that make such great photography subject out of nothingness. This is a prime example of it. Very good observation and perfectly executed photo with great composition and fantastic colors combination. Congrats.

Hello Nikki,

Pour des couleurs qui claquent, ce sont de couleurs qui claquent. Même si l'image me dérange du fait que la voiture soit coupée en deux, j'aime bien le choc et le contraste des couleurs entre elles.

Superbe ! Le cadrage est excellent, mais ce sont surtout les couleurs et les textures qui sont les points forts de la photo. Netteté impeccable. Je comprends que tu aies cédé à la tentation d'immortaliser cette scène de vie californienne !
