The maritime abbey of Beauport Photo

Photographer’s Note

The monastery is located in Brittany (France), in the department of the Coasts of Armor, on the littoral of the English Channel, at the bottom of a sheltered handle of bay of Paimpol.

It was founded in 1202 for the order of Prémontrés.

The abbey presents an architectural unit preserved good, composed of abbey and principal buildings which are ordered around the cloister. The unit is classified Historic building since 1862 and property of the Academy of the Littoral since 1993.

The site of the abbey of Beauport is the starting point of a marked out way of 1800 km to Saint-Jacques de Compostelle, in Spain.

Il a fière allure ce monastère mis en valeur par une bonne luminosité bretonne. Les vestiges sur la gauche donnent d'aller y voir de plus près.

Une présentation très efficace de cette vénérable abbaye, cette présentation nous permet en effet d'apprécier la structure et les proportions de l'édifice.
très belle iamge éaglement avec un FG qui ouvre une belle perspective et donne de la profondeur à l'image. De belles couleurs et des contrastes forts sous ce beau ciel agrémenté de nuages.

Bon cadrage de cette abbaye aux pierres si caractéristiques de notre région.Le piqué est présent et l'exposition juste,toutefois je trouve que l'image a une dominante froide notamment dans les parties blanches des nuages.La dominante est cyan.Est-ce un problème de white balance.Était-elle en auto?
Beau cliché malgré cette remarque.

les arbres cadrent bien l'abbaye. L'angle de vue permet de voir les détails et les couleurs de l'architecture de plusieurs côtés de l'abbaye. La lumière de l'après-midi rehausse la beauté des couleurs. Bonne soirée.

Je partirais volontiers pour saint-Jacques à pieds, je retarde un peu mon départ pour commenter cette image bretonne. Sous une lumière et avec des couleurs naturelles, un bon cadrage de l'architecture, qui décrit efficacement ce que fut cette abbaye. J'apprécie le premier plan vert et large. Bonne netteté, agréable photo de qualité. Bravo.

De Versailles en Bretagne, dans un voyage photographique très intéressant.
La lumière et les couleurs d'été sur ce monastère magnifique créent une image très attractive.

Olá Jean Charles, so here starts the big adventure for many pilgrims. I wonder how many days it takes to walk those 1800kms. If I had to do it, I would like to spend a week relaxing in this monastery before starting to walk. Encore un site qui m'est passé sous le nez lors de ma dernière visite.
