Cabo de Carvoeiro Photo

Photographer’s Note

Hi Folks,

I took this picture in Carvoeiro, in the Algarve region. Carvoeiro was a
traditional, small fishing village surviving on the tuna catches but with
the time has become an incredibly popular resort with many visitors.
The centre of Carvoeiro isn't very big and there are just two roads
leading down into the town where they meet in a small square behind the
beach. There are plenty of shops in the town for the everyday needs. The
town beach, Praia do Carvoeiro is a beautifully sheltered sandy bay and
spreads out just in front of the square with cliffs protecting it on either
side. There are bars and cafés ideally placed around the square to still
enjoy the view when you leave the beach. And for photographers there is a
beautiful lighthouse which is a fantastic model to be photographed. The
lighthouse is called Cabo de Carvoeiro. The cliffs where the lighthouse was
built are fenced around which just shows how fragile the cliffs can be.
There are plenty so called 'algares' which are holes in the cliff where the
sea has eaten it away from underneath.
I have to say I really liked the area and would recommend it for both
photography and walking on top of cliffs to se some stunning views.

again a really stunning view, the POV and especially the sky are beautiful. like th diagonal of the land in the FG and certainly the lighthouse on the cliff.

Hi Dariusz,
Nice view and overall wonderful colours. Sharpness is excellent. Maybe you centered too much the horizon, so we can't know what is the subject. The cliffs and the lighthouse ? The wonderful sky ?

Sorry but Cabo Carvoeiro is not in Algarve but in Peniche - Leiria district , the sky was fantastic i liked the texture of the clouds , great colors and light , god point of vision .

another great shot from this area. Looks like a treat for photographers. the colors are impressive and, as usual with you, the sky is impressive with clouds and the vertical framing pays tribute to them in that respect.

bardzo urokliwy widoczek. Ciesz sie ze moge go zobaczyc przynajmniej na Twoim zdjeciu.
Na pierwszy rzut oka myslalem ze to ta latarnia z Ponta de Piedade i ze jednak udalo Ci sie znalezc fajny punkt widzenia.
