Catching Blue Crabs-Dalyan Photo

Photographer’s Note

On our last day in Dalyan we took a boat down to the west side of the long, beautiful iztuzu beach (i prefer the east side taking the dolmus -quieter, quicker & a little cheaper).
On the lake behind the beach we saw Turtles & fishermen catching & cooking these blue crabs to order. They are delicious!
The crabs are not native to Turkey, but arrived in the ballast tanks of American ships.

You are right David - they are very tasty! Jill and I shared one in that very spot just a few months ago. That end of the beach can be very busy by comparison. Love the overall blue tone here.
