The legend
The story refers to the Turkish pirate Barbarossa.
To get away from these vandals, Gruissan residents took refuge in the castle.
From generation to generation fishermen in the country tell the cruelty of fighting, the torture of prisoners and the suffering of slaves.
But in reality this tower was built in 1246 by the Archbishop of Narbonne, she became a real outpost towards the sea.
In 1632 the Cardinal Richelieu ordered the dismantling of the tower.

I did not use the HDR system this year, the blue hour coincided with the tower illumination.
