Photographer’s Note
The morning sun penetrates the mist. The mist creates an atmosphere of fuzzy wooliness. And of course my woolly friends here should be addressed as "Your Wooliness".
Pocket Oxford Dictionary: Woolgathering -absent-minded(ness),dreamy(mood)
woolsack - Lord Cancellor's wool-stuffed seat in the House of Lords, his position.
So you see, all you sheep photo detractors, they really aren't so boring; but anyway sheep are entitled to have their photo taken too!

Hello Bev!
Don't know why, buy I find this picture pretty creepy. Reminds me of the film "silence of the lams".
But, just like the movie, I like the photo, especially how you managed to draw their attention. Good quality of colors, sharpness and framing.
Have a great week

Hello Bev,
What an incredible weather you had that day. These sheep look quite dignified as they pose for you. But again it's the mist and the magical colours of the filtered sunrays that attract me the most.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi Bev,
I like how you have several of them looking at you and others fading into the pastel tinted mist, a lovely pastoral scene.

Hi Bev,
The light conditions here and the soft colours in this misty landscape are quite fabulous. There is a clear impressionistic mood here, this is a very attractive picture, in many ways.
Kind regards

Oh, Bev, I LOVE sheep photos..LOL (Does that mean I'm boring??) That morning light and the soft colors are just awesome, though. I love they way they seemed to pose for you and the softness of the light as you look further in. And even with the mist you got great sharpness and detail. That is one beautiful shot. Many thanks and warmest wishes,
Shelly

Hello, Bev.
This is truly superb!
I really wish that I had not needed to be at work early these last few days: it would have been wonderful to be out with a camera on some of the recent misty mornings, just as the low warm sunlight was starting to peer through.
You have perfectly captured all the mood of a windless autumn morning here, Bev. I actually don't mind pictures of sheep at all: these sheep are really quite nice to look at and I don't immediately think of mint sauce when I see this picture. Are these sheep Bluefaced Leicesters? They seem to have the high "Roman" noses I seem to remember that breed having.
Again, in this picture, it is the lighting which realy intrigues me: the sky is a pale greyish blue with the exception if that wonderful golden glow to right of centre. The low sunlight on the sheep is just perfect. Composition-wise, that tall pole to left of centre is a fine focal point to the picture, with the diminutive figures of distant sheep around its base.
Excellent!
Best Wishes,
John.

"your wooliness" like your holiness???
:))
Bev, you rocked me down tonight with this wonderful joke.
The silence of the lambs is frightening as always. Great light and rural atmosphere here.
All the best,

Hello Bev,
An utterly delightful shot!
These woollies are almost posing for you, in their curiosity! I love how they are commanding the f/g with their breasts just touched by the light.
As you move back through the shot, the concentration of sheep seems to decrease, along with their sharpness, until the top r/h corner of the frame is engulfed in a warm glowing mist ... just a little creepy!
Definitely a one-off shot!
Have a lovely Sunday,
Bev :-)

Dear Bev, it's amazing how a bit of hardware, a perceptive eye, and the internet can re-create this lovely warm scene in front of me on day that is so dreich outside.
I love the way the sheep just in front of you are saying "what's SHE looking at" while others are completely uninterested in you. And I love those two lines of trees on the left with the warmest light on the nearest tree. And ...
Thank you, Winifred
