Photographer’s Note
St. Coloman in Schwangau again, as I showed you here.
Like I wrote in my note, Didier and I had been waiting for the first morning light to caress the church, but it just kept getting foggier. So we decided to have breakfast nearby. As we were leaving the parking lot, Didier said, "looks like light is coming..." We decided to take a look.
We had to hurry up, because this really was a decisive moment - no time for a tripod.
Yes, it was very difficult light, but it was so fantastic - a supernatural feeling - spotlight on the church. What a feeling!

Hallo Linda!

good evening Linda,
maybe you can put both shots in a WS together, then can I see better witch one is the best of those two. I must say Linda I like the good light shot a lot, well taken shot, well handled that light, well composed. I must say didier has a better frame around . but I don't know, very good photo job here, have a very good evening.

Hallo Linda,

Hi Linda,
this view is very pleasant! You caught a perfect moment with the rays of sun kissing the church. You managed very well a difficult light.
TFS.

Linda
Interesting light and how it is shining on the church. It was worth the wait to capture this moment.
Well done,

Linda

Hi Sister
Sometimes it pays to listen to a yellow guy, but don't follow his advices on cheese ;-)
Great capture of the light falling onto the papagolfade for a divine feeling.
Have a nice day JY

Hallo Linda,

Hi Linda, halleluja is a great title for this emotional photo. It sure starts you believing in God if you don;t already. The light management is just amazing, it seems God is just shining his light on that beautiful little church - the detail of which is also superb. Nice spotting and congratulations on a brilliant composition. Warm regards from Sydney, Lisa. PS: Beautiful Intro photo - cooee - what a fox! :)

Hello Linda,
This has to be one of the most inspiring shots I could have imagined. A wide shaft of light illuminating the church. This indeed was a successful photo shoot.
Your note in your 'Overview' page regards how you started your photographic adventures with your grandfather's camera brought some ambivalent memories for me. My mother, as a little girl had started taking photos with her father's camera, then passed it onto me. An accordion-like device, it was a nostalgic favorite for me. When we once had a break in, the camera disappeared, along with speakers, some furniture... but it was the loss of that camera that has stayed with me. I have since had half-a dozen Nikons, but none with the deep sentimental attachment.
Warm regards,
Bulent
