Hi Andre,
Excellent use of wide angle and vertical format, the boats and the clouds give depht to the photo. The yellow boats make the photo more lively as well. Great details and contrast.

Déjà, j'aime beaucoup le titre choisi ;o)
Ensuite, un format vertical dont tu as le secret et qui forcément s'imposait ici.
Le ciel, la brume, le cadre idyllique, tout confère à créer une ambiance forte.
Et que dire de cette barque au premier plan... Ce jaune qui en réveillera plus d'un (hein JY ?!) !

Beautiful stuff
This place was covered in Ice when I visited, grey and murky and not like this view for sure. The clarity is superb and that yellow just pings from the screen. Excellent cloud movement and the layers moving through Moraine is wonderful.

the eyecatcher is surely the yellow canoe, but the reflection, the low clouds at the slopes and the dark clouds above and the atmosphere makes a perfect image . TFS

Morraine Lake is probably right up there with one of the most photographed places in Canada, so you did a great job with seeking out something different. The yellow canoes make a wonderful and colourful foreground and your close, low POV shows up the clarity of the water. The low cloud wisping around the mountains and the stunning reflections complete the beauty of the picture.
Just one question: why is it located at Lake Louise?

Le format vertical et le point de vue ont été excellentement choisis!
La netteté, la gestion de la lumière, la profondeur et les coulers sont très bonnes!
La composition est digne d'éloges! J'adore ce barque jaune du premier plan, le reflet et les nuages qui essaient de couvrir les montagnes et le ciel bleu!

pas de lumière, mais compensé par le cadrage serré sur les bateaux, les nuages dans la montagne et les couleurs saturée.

This is a fantastic shot!
Your composition is great placing the canoe in the foreground and showing it from a good angle. The angle of the shot gives the scene a sense of direction. The lighting and colors are great and the photo has excellent sharpness and DOF. The reflection is nice and adds depth and balance to the shot.

The bright yellow and the man made element of the canoes certainly is in striking contrast with the organic natural landscape around it. Great texture and colour and wonderful drama in the sky and with the clouds surrounding the mountain peaks.

Moins puissant naturellement que la précédente mais plus puissante au niveau des couleurs. Notamment ce jaune incroyable qui occulte presque le splendide décor en arrière plan.
Au niveau du cadrage, je le trouve un brin perfectible.
J'aurais pour ma part cadré les bateaux de droites entièrement en créant une sorte de perspective. Il est dommage qu'ils soient coupés.
Mais tout ça pour dire qu'il s'agit là déjà d'une très belle image, bien composée et qui donne réellement envie de se promener sur ce lac...

Hi Andre,
What are you smoking that you can hear the cloud moving, I want some of that too. Well what I want more is to be here, this is fantastic, The scenery is beautiful I know because I was here myself a couple of years back, but what I love is the atmosphere, the condition of the light the way the clouds hovering in the air, yet there is some clearing to allow you the a perfect view of a few of the ten peaks cover with some snow. It is a condition we couldn’t ask for, you just have to be there when it happens, and I’m sure it can disappear within a few minutes. Also the foreground is so perfectly clear, the water, still and calm, casting perfect reflection and so transparent we can see to the bottom of the lake. The brilliant yellow canoe is such a great addition to the already beautiful composition. It grabs our attention, anchors our vision and takes us into this blissfulness of surreal and poetic landscape.
Great quality, good details, texture, sharpness, excellent depth, everything is spot on, and a superb composition. My complement and admiration! Congrats my friend. This goes to my favorite list.

Une petite merveille de composition et une leçon de photographie pour nous avec cette fantastique profondeur de champ. Même si ce n'est pas ma couleur préféré (o)), je dois avouer que ce jaune des canoës, ça le fait pas mal!

Ton cadrage est excellent et j'adore la transparence du lac au premier plan et son reflet derriere. La nettété est impeccable. Cela doit être difficile de travailler avec une lumière pareille mais tu as bien réussi.

Je vois par tes photos que tu voyages beaucoup et que tu as beaucoup de talents dans tes compositions et prise de vue comme celle-ci..
Superbe décors et l'un des plus beaux au Canada 'le lac Moraine' avec les montagnes rocheuses et sa neige éternelle dans un magnifique décors qui fait rêver..
couleurs , présentation , profondeur de champs, réflection sur un lac très calme et sujet de premier plant le canot qui donne un paysage féérique à couper le souffle...
