As the end of the tourist season looms in Calis (pronounced Chalish) near Fethiye, the young people who work in restaurants, hotels & other seasonal service industries have a little time on their hands. Many of them will soon return home or continue their education with the hard earned lira.

Hi David, you got away after all! Our winters are so long it can be very depressing. This is a fine B&W study of this young man looking out of frame. It leaves you wondering exactly what is so interesting over there. The overall grey tone felt a little heavy at first but does suggest a mood - that summer is over and autumn is on its way.
