Lighthouse Thornbusch Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is probably the most famous lighthouse at German's coast. It is called "Dornbusch", which means thornbush in English. It became this name because it is surrounded by bushes which are called "Sanddorn" and this is a kind of thornbush. Please look at the WS, there i have added an image of the Sanddorn full of fruits.

The lighthouse is located at the German island Hiddensee, near Rügen in the Baltic sea.

Hallo Hartmut!
Ich war im Mai 1990 dort,6 Monate nach dem Mauerfall und war begeistert,allerdings waren da hunderte von Menschen.
Tolle KOMPO mit diesen Holzbalken und der Wegkreutung im Vordergrund.Geniale Kontrast zwischen Landschaft und dem schön blauem Himmel.Die Wolkenschlieren die die größere Wolke hinter sich herzieht geben dem Bild Dynamik.

Hi Hartmut. A very nice composition, emphasizing the lines and sky in the landscape.
The landscape looks a bit like Northern Jutland in Denmark.

Very well composed image of the lighthouse. The off-centre placement is good and the path and fence make perfect lead-ins. I love the sky with the wisps on the right. Your POV has placed the lighthouse perfectly between the clouds which are standing guard.

du hast hier einen wirkungsvollen Aufnahmestandort für dieses klasse Bild vom Leuchtturm gefunden. Die Wege im Vordergrund führen das Auge zum Turm und als Hintergrund beeindruckt der blaue Himmel mit seiner Wolkenformation. Interessant auch die Info über den Ursprung der Namensgebung, sowie der WS.

Bonjour Hartmut,
c'est un bien joli ciel que tu nous offres là et dont le bleu permet à toute autre chose de bien se détacher.
Des couleurs naturelles montrent une végétation qui n'a pas recu beaucoup de pluie.
Bien cadré.

a pleasant place with perceptive and POV that lead the eye to the lighthouse.I like the way,the lighthouse outlined against the blue sky,as the be clouds on it.The management of the light as the colours are excellent.
