Small roots ans fruits's shop in Kilkenny located at the south-east of Ireland.
"Kilkenny is a popular tourist destination in Ireland. Well regarded for its cultural life, it has always tended to attract culturally aware visitors. Art galleries, historic buildings, craft and design workshops, theatre, comedy, public gardens and museums are some of main reasons Kilkenny has become one of Ireland's most visited towns and a popular base to explore the surrounding countryside.
Points of interest within the city and its environs include Kilkenny Castle, St. Canice's Cathedral and round tower, Rothe House, St. Mary's Cathedral, Kells Priory, Kilkenny Town Hall, Black Abbey and Jerpoint Abbey.
The recent rise in "stag" and "hen" parties in the city has seen attempts made at local level to discourage such activity, without impinging on the vibrant nightlife the city is known for.
The famous rejoinder of the serial South Park “They killed Kenny” comes from the Kilkenny beer, indeed one of the authors of the series bet with the others that he would manage to put the name of this beer in each episode..." Wikipedia

Salut Patrice,
une façade typique. Les deux personnes ajoutent une touche bienvenue de mouvement. J'aime bien l'instant que tu as choisi, juste quand ils se croisent. On dirait qu'ils se disent un petit secret...ou alors se saluent-ils? 'Hi Roots!' -'Hey fruits! What's up?'...bon allez j'arrête là. J'aime bien le résultat en tout cas.

hello Patrice,
a simple yet satifyling conposition.I like the interaction of the two customers. Their passing in and out of the door seems like a polite dance. A good daily life scene.

bonsoir Patrice,
I just read Philippe's comment and it made me laugh - roots and fruits... it reminds me of a veggies shop in London whose shop assistants were a Jamanican guy and an Orthodox Jew - they were constantly having philosophical arguments while serving people... what a couple.
going back to your image - it's perfectly centered and you caught the two persons stepping in and out like clockwork... I like this precision, as well as the quiet colours and the neutral light.

Hello Patrice,
A very pleasant picture, well composed and nicely cropped. You have captured these two people at the right moment as they meet in the doorway. There are lots of fine details, like the hand-written signs, the jars in the left window and the goodies we can see inside.
I hitch-hiked around all of Ireland in 1968 but for some reason I've never returned. I almost thought everything would have changed beyond recognition during the country's days as a "tiger economy", but this looks like it must have done 41 years ago.
Regards,
Gert

Hi Patrice.
This is nicely depicted daily life shot with the shot so timely at the entrance. I like the natural color with pleasing ambiance inside the store. Very good exposure and details and TFS.
Best regards.

Bonsoir Pierre,

Amicalement,
Olivier
