Photographer’s Note
Taken from Stanley Park in Vancouver, you can see in blue, Canada Place. Along side of it, is the Circular Harbour Centre in orange - seen in my other photo's as well.
I'm sure this photo has been taken a million times in Vancouver, so this is nothing new to anyone who lives here in BC - but it had to be done!
It was a cold morning, i think it was about 5am, a clear crisp fall morning with excellent conditions.
Hope you like it, and hope everyone has a great day searching TE !
Thanks
Craig

Stunning blue hour shot, taken in the less seen blue hour early in the day. Considering the earliness of the hour you have captured wonderful detail in the city skyline, and I love the gradation in the sky from blue to a peachy orange. A perfectly exposed image with excellent sharpness.

Hi Craig,
Even though we have seen quite a few shots of this place, you have captured it at a nice time of the day and with the coloured lights especially the blue ones it makes for a lovely shot. Also nice that you have some water included in the foreground with a bit of the reflection of the lights.

Great shot taken early morning! Fabulous colours - warm orange to the light blue. Good timing to capture this. Good exposure - balancing the lights and dark areas. Great famous shot in Vancouver, BC. We live in a beautiful country, don't we? Good POV and well presented. One of the best morning shots I have seen in this lighting...
Be proud of yourself,

Hi Craig,
Vancouver is a very beautiful city, which I would like to visit some day, and that meanwhile I can enjoy due to great photos as this one.
It is a capture early in the morning very well executed, the light and the colors are managed skillfully, and the graphism obtained is very strong and interesting.
I like the lighting of the buildings and its nice contrast with the beautiful sky.
An excellent work.
Friendly regards,
Josep

Hello Craig -
Just beautiful! Who cares if it's been done before some of these venues need to be done many times and under different conditions to fully appreciate their worth. The only thing marring (too harsh of a word) the image is the sky crane dead center in the image. But, the crane though seems to be a permanent feature in the urban landscape and getting a skyline without one seems impossible. All of the technical details are right where they belong. Bravo, well done!
Thank you for sharing.

I love this angle! I'm currently living in France, so I really miss Vancouver, it's skyline and especailly Stanley Park! For some reason my pictures always turn out as complete shite in the dark... but this is amazing, good work.
Cheers,

Hi Craig, My first thought was a lovely night scene, but your note tells otherwise, what were you doing out of bed that early on a crisp morning, it doesn't matter, well worth it. Nice early morning shot, with excellent colour especially in the sky, nice reflections & colour on the silky smooth water, I wonder if it was at possible to get more water & reflections in. The blues of the sail like structure look pretty impressive.
Well done.

Hello Craig,
very good management of light! Colors are crisp and clear and compo is very well balanced.
The orange halo of light around Canada place is really cool!
I'd like to see more water in the foreground. The silky smooth effect of the long exposure must be awesome, especially with the reflections.
have fun with the olympics!

Hi Craig
This is a nice tight framing of the sails and the Harbour Centre and at the right time of day as well. You still have the colours of the lights against the rising sun in the eastern sky.
