Photographer’s Note

İstanbul ağrısı

Karşı kıyıdan vapurlar kalkardı…bir martı çığlığı sonra
ve ardından yagmurlar yagardı…
ben bilirdim ki, aşk aglardı.

” taze çıtır simiiiitt…boyayalım abi”
- ulan yürüsene be..!
” Beşiktaş’a bir iki, Beşiktaş’ a bir iki”
….seslerine karışırdı sevdalar.

ah İstanbul seni hiç kimse anlamazdı benim gibi.
Senden öyle uzaktayımki şimdi…senin aşkını saymazsam, aşklardan da…!

Sen, İstanbul..!
gecemin sabahına, sabahının ise gelip rüyama karıştığı okyanuslar ötesindeyim sensizim yıllardan beri.

NewYork’da denizin metrelerce altındaki karanlık tüp tünelden geçerken, ben hala her siren sesini martılarının çığlığı sanırım.
Işıklar içindeki boğazın aklıma gelir …ve özlemin gelir ardından boğazıma dügümlenir…
Yanağımdan iki damla yaş süzülerek okyanusun dibine gömülür…
ve inanmazsın İstanbul, okyanusun rengi marmaraya dönüşür…

Derken;
hiç tanımadığım biri geçerken selam verir;
-heey, whats up? ( sanki çok umurudaymış gibi nasıl olduğum…sırf kibarlık olsun diye )
ki, yanıtını bile beklemeden ilerlerken ben inadına sorarım;

- Kadıköy’e nasıl giderim?

” Köşedeki kuru yemişçiden karşıya geç…ordan sağa, bir çeşme çıkacak …sola biraz yürü cami var, ordan aşşagıya …kime sorarsan vapur iskelesini söyler abla…”

ah, İstanbul..!
seni bir tek ben anlarım niye geçemedigini karşı kıyıya …

Ben, sana ve aşkına tutsak
ve bilemezsin tutsagım karşı kıyındaki en uzak okyanusta..!

Yalnıca deniz ve vapur ağırlıklı olması, soft renklerle
görüntünün etkisini artırıyor.
Kent görünmese de vapurlar yine İstanbul'u çağrıştırıyor.

Hello Cevdet,

A good view of these famous boats of Istanbul with a large FG which give a very great depht to the image. The seagulls give an interetsing element of life to the image. Details very well collectd and image full of rythm, od dynamism.

a romantic shot with the pink colours of the sky to make the difference in this scene.The flying seagulls as the yellow sphere on the left are the eye cacher of the image.Well done.

A great boat indeed! The flying birds give movement and life to the picture. The top right corner is a lightly orange and it gives a peaceful effect to the atmosphere.

niceview of thw harbour with ferries going around. I like the motion blurr of the gulls and the line od smoke from the boats.

The evening colors and tone is really beautiful here. The birds seem very active and full excitment. While the atmosphere seem very peaceful and calm, I can feel the cool breeze in the air washing away the deat of the day. Beautiful view and a good composition.

Ah, beautiful Istanbul decorated with blue and pink in the evening! Excellent image of the ferry crossing, with the seagulls dancing in foreground. The colors are fantastic and the atmosphere is poetic. Good job!

Hi Cevdet,

The fore ground sea gulls make a very nice natrual lead in to the ferry boat crossing the famous strait while the big yellow sphere makes for a very interesting backdrop to the tranquil late day shot.

Hey Cev!

My Turkish is a bit rusty, but I`m guessing your note speaks about the romantic aspects of the city. A photo with a lot of different elements, and that what makes it attractive. Perhaps it is just a bit tilted. And I would have left some of the upper portion of the photo, just in case. Otherwise and unmistakable scene from Istanbul.

en fazla askerdeyken uzak kaldım şehr-i'stanbul'dan, ama o bile beni halüsinasyon görür hale getirmişti. gece nöbetlerinde vapurlar, martılar, camiler, gökdelenler, hatta E-5 trafiği bile gözümün önünde birdirbir oynuyordu.
bir daha kimse ayırmasın beni bu şehirden...
