Photographer’s Note

The first couple seems to be a father and his son. The other one consits of two landmarks of Düsseldorf: the more remote tower belongs to St. Lambertus Basilica, built in 1394, the bright tower is the only remained part of the old castle of the Dukes of Berg, built in the 15th century, today Maritime Museum.

Lovely couples, aren't they?

What a fantastic timing when you took this photo. The placing of man and his son on bikes are perfect. It not only the placing in the bottom corner and the diagonal line but also the matching couples and how they are placed. Excellent work, my friend. TFS and have a nice weekend!

Hallo László!
Bei Dir kann man immer wieder etwas lernen. Ich war erst einmal in "meiner" Landeshauptstadt - weil ich sie nicht sehr attraktiv finde. Dein wirklich interessant aufgebautes Foto zeigt 2 mir bisher unbekannte Gebäude und die Herren im Vordergrund bilden einen schönen Gegenpol zu soviel steinerner Architektur.
Ich habe nachgeforscht - der Kirchturm ist ja wirklich so schief. Zu dieser Aufnahmezeit solltest Du aber nach einem Speiserestaurant suchen ... ;-))
Einen recht nassen Gruß nach Ungarn - und einen schönen Sonntag an alle im Hause!

Hallo Laszlo,
ein radikaler Schnitt mit guter Wirkung. Mir gefällt, wie du Vater und Sohn in der linken unteren Ecke platziert hast. Die diagonal verlaufende Tischreihe dahinter komplettiert die gute Bildgestaltung im Vordergrund. Das vertikale Format macht Platz für die Türme im Hintergrund, wobei der linke für meinen Geschmack etwas nah am linken und oberen Rand platziert ist, was den Gesamteindruck aber nur wenig trübt. Gute Arbeit.

Hi Laszlo,
Good capture of the two pairs. The first one filling needed space in the foreground and adding more interest to the architectural shot. Weather doesn't look so nice but mood is well captured. I was in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia early this month. I was somehow associating your name with the Lazko beer I was drinking while there.

Si, caro Laszlo, due belle coppie, anche se la prima si assomiglia molto, mentre invece quelle nel BG hanno due architetture completamente differenti, segno evidente che, come dici nelle note, sono state costruite in epoche diverse. Il piacevole taglio verticale che hai dato all'immagine costringe l'occhio a concentrarsi sui soggetti senza essere distratto da altri particolari se non per notare la buona profondità di campo e la prospettiva della fila di ombrelloni. Sei un ottimo osservatore, dote indispensabile per un buon fotografo.
