Photographer's Note
At 5:30AM, we walked down to the wooden walkway at Onnenai, Kushiro Marsh in Hokkaido. This fawn was feeding on the dewy morning grass close to it's mother. Although a little nervous, luckily they didn't run away and I was able to get some shots. This one was taken at 275mm. Others include the whole fawn, and some with the mother. I chose this one as I like the detail and the imperfections in the animal.

With a good 400 mm you have do this pretty portrait of Bambi tallied very well with success. I forgive the cut ear, it is not disturbing whole knowing that it was necessary to hurry to press on the release.

Veeery nice, Martin. Head and body at 45° makes it an attractive portrait. Perfect framing and DOF management. Sharp, natural colors, what else... beautiful!
