Photographer’s Note
This is the slope of the crater of Vulcano, one of the active volcanos in Italy, in the island of Vulcano, Sicily. It is an active explosive volcano, whose crater is surrounded by many sulphur jets and fumaroles on the surface and underwater
The last big eruption was in 1890, but its activity never stopped.
From the edge of the crater you can see the many layers of colored minerals. A window inside the earth.

Ciao Stefano,
Very good composition. The layers in different colors and the furrows between them form a beautiful drawing made by nature. Great colors and details. Excellent crop.

Hi Stefano
Outstanding natural hues, nice POV? Where have you been to take such a picture? Inside the crater?
Cheers

Complimenti e buon weekend,Luciano

Hi Stefano,
An exciting capture, you show us the primeval roots of our Earth in this photograph. The colours are fantastic, the different shades of yellow, gray and browns looks brilliant.
It's very hard to determine the scale of the landscape from this image, but it doesn't matter, one can use one's imagination.
Superb image.

Peter

Ciao Stefano,
