Taken in Auschwitz-Birkenau where was the largest of Nazi Germany's concentration camps and extermination camps, operational during World War II.

Hi Cigdem!
The photo is very well realized but it become even more beautiful thinking of it is taken in Auschwitz. This black wall, dark like the oblivion, is not empty but full of enlighted images to illuminate the memory and never forget.

Your message is very clear and the picture illustrates it very well. Good light management, and also good position of the woman in front of the window (and its reflection on the carpet) with her high look on all the photographs of the missing persons. The harsh treatment B&W (not too many greys) reinforces the sadness.

This is a very well composed picture with an interesting topic, I especially like the placement of the shadow of the woman in teh square of light on the floor. The strong effect is enhanced by the choice of b&w and good light management. Well done! Cheers, Dasha

This stands out of the page really Cigdem..the composition is a bit cliched but the treatment and the final presentation is quite artistically done and tasteful...

thats what i apprciate..taking something out of the mundane and ordinary..and turn it into something unique...

Here the ordinary has turned out to be just as beautiful

Merhaba Çiğdem,
Tam karabatak gibisin bu aralar, aniden bir gözüp sonra tekrar gözden kayboluyorsun. Her gözüktüğünde ise yeni bir mücevher çıkıveriyor çantandan...
Son zamanlarda beni en çok çeken şey sb'ın böylesi karanlık ortamlarda kullanımı. Kapkara duvar üstünde, bembeyaz çerçeveli yine kapkaranlık fotoğrafların bulunduğu panoyu harika görüntülemişsin. Modelin tam da sert ışığın önünde durarak orayı dengelemesi süper. Keşke modelin gölgesini kesmeseymişsin diyebilirim, kadrajın müsaitmiş gibi duruyor. Ama yine de güneş balçıkla sıvanmaz tabi :)

Auschwitz-Birkenau'dan benim de fotoğraflarım var ama yüklemedim daha... bu bölümden yok ama sanırım... çarpıcı bir kare olmuş çigdem, eline sağlık...

selam cigdemcim.. fotograflarini ozlemisim valla.. gerci benden de pek hayir yok bu aralar... siyah-beyaz oyle cok yakismis ki.. panodaki fotograflardaki beyazlar ve ortamla yaratilan kontrast nefis gercekten.. model de tam olmasi gerektigi yerde bence.. dengelenmis.. ust tarafi tam panonun sag ust kosesinden alip asagidan modelin golgesini kesmeseymissin keske.. ama olsun ben yine de cok sevdim.. ellerine saglik..sevgiler..

zor ışık şartlarına rağmen çok iyi kare çıkarmışsın. notunu da okuyunca fotografın degeri daha da arttı.
