Scituite Light is located at the entrance to the small harbor in Scituite Massachusetts. There are a few commercial fishing boats in the harbor but most of the boats there are pleasure craft. This summer (2009) one of the smaller charter fishing boats landed a world record 600+ pound mako shark and returned to this picturesque little harbor with quite a prize.

My wife was at the beach and I just wanted to go and take a few shots as I hadn't had much time to do that lately. I knew the middle of the afternoon was not the best time for this activity but it was the only time I had.

I was not sure about the people in the shot but I do not seem to mind them as much anymore. Post is only basic contrast adjust, crop to 8x10 format and sharpening.
