Photographer’s Note
Hoi An surroundings, Center of Vietnam - 2009
During the period of the first rice harvest in Hoi An for 2009 (2 harvests in Hoi An - 1 in May and 1 in September)....
All the rice fields work are done by hand... This old lady is naturally separate rice seeds from other herbs, stalk... thanks to wind.
Upon completion of this operation (3 or 4 times for one basket), rice is collected into 50 kg bags and ready to sell....

Bonjour Raphael,
Super boulot ici. Le N&B est bien géré, mais c est surtout le point de vue en contre plongée sur fond de ciel et le mouvement donné par les grains de riz qui fait tout le charme de la photo.
Yves.

Bonjour Raphael,
My favourite in your gallery on my beloved Vietnam and a great tribute to women at work. For a less standard crop, you might try cutting out the earth to focus on the sky (the wind) above. Just scroll until just below the lower elbow to see what I mean.
