Photographer’s Note

Taken using natural light only in Lagos fish market. I loved the character of the fishmonger, he looked bored and ready to go home. The fish hanging over the front of the counter are Scabbard Fish - very strange looking creatures but apparently much loved by the locals. In fact there was an amazing variety of fish on sale, many of which I hadn't seen before.

Did you try the Scabbard Fish (Peixe Espada in Portuguese)? It is excellent when grilled.
Nice shot with good colours and a not so happy man. May be business was low!

Nice human capture....Interesting worker. Waiting for a deal........with this look, it would be a little bet difficult to sold a fish.
