Photographer’s Note
This is Long Beach, a short walk over the hill from Russell in the Bay of Islands. It was such a lovely day and the water looked inviting for a swim, but it would undoubtedly have been a bit too cold!

your landscape composition is quite nice. Taking a picture at mid day makes for strong shadows and flat light. Perhaps the same shot taken in the early morning with the sun comming from the east and warming the land would be really nice as well? On the other hand, not being able to stay in one place over night for the sake of a photograph is a challenge all travellers face.
