Photographer’s Note

The Fortress of St. John, often called Mulo tower, is a complex monumental building on the southeastern side of the old city port, controlling and protecting its entrance. The first fort was built in mid 14th century, but it was modified on several occasions in the course of the 15th and 16th centuries. The present appearance of the fortress dates from the 16th century and is mainly the work of the local builder Paskoje Miličević, whose reconstruction plans contributed considerably to the present look of the fortification of the old port. The side toward the sea is round and lower part of the wall is inclined, while the part facing the port has flat vertical walls. This large building, which had many gun ports for its primary function, is a cultural monument today. It houses the Maritime Museum, containing objects, paintings and documents relating to a most important activity in the history of the city. The ground floor houses the Aquarium. The monumental space of the fortress creates a special mood for visitors.

It's like a movie scene, Deniz! a mystery one, of course :). Once (day)light and human beings are retired, dark and its fantastic creatures take over the place. The atmosphere is somehow soundless (though I can hear some whispers :)), but equally lively /dynamic as during the daylight :).

The silhouettes are wonderfully captured - love their different postures. And what a great setting for our movie the thick, nicely illuminated walls are!

Gelelim esas bu öğlen TE açma sebebime... Bu fotoğrafın olayını anlayamıyorum.
O kale duvarlarının ne olduğu bilmeden yorumluyorum; aydınlatılmış taş duvarların önünde sıra sıra silüetler ve bir de bonus olarak duvarların birleştiği yerde mavi bir ışık. Bir bonus daha var aslında, en soldaki silüetin duruşu, "buralar eskiden bizimdi" edasıyla öyle tepeden bakmış ki... Sağdaki bulanık silüetler de bir hareket katmış. Duvarın sarımtrak-bejimsi rengi ise karanlık silüetler için gayet güzel bir fon. eee sorun ne? Bilmiyorum, sanıyorum anlayamayacağım.
"Sen bu fotoğrafta ne görüyorsun" diye sorarsan, çok eğlenceli fotoğrafik bir gecenin anılarını görüyorum :)

figürler,siluetler şahane ama ben en çok duvarın altın rengi dokusunu,netliğini ve birde alt kısımdaki azıcık mavi ışığın etkisini beğendim..ellerinize sağlık.selamlar

iste bu nefis ve benlik,sanki erciro'nun makro makinasi ile kumaş cekmissin gibi arka fon...bugun calistim ya herseyi makro makro goruyorum lakin zor zenaat dedigin gibi bi genis aciyi halledeyim de :( yakindaki siluetler bir yana uzaktakilere de bittim hafif hareketli olmalarina da ama en cok mavilerin icindeki silueti sevdimmm..
